Job Description
The Multimedia & Content Creation Officer is responsible for producing high-quality digital, visual, and multimedia content that supports NLA’s learning, communications, and visibility objectives. This role plays a critical function in advancing TGP Output 2 (NLA Operationalization) and TGP Output 4 (Institutional Systems, MEAL & Visibility) by translating NLA’s leadership development programs, policy work, and institutional milestones into engaging digital content for online platforms, learning systems, and donor reporting. The Officer ensures that NLA’s digital presence reflects professionalism, innovation, and impact
Key Responsibilities
Produce multimedia content including videos, graphics, photography, animations, and infographics. Support content development for NLA’s website, social media, LMS, and digital platforms. Document trainings, conferences, workshops, and institutional events.
Regularly update NLA’s website with news, events, and institutional content. Support social media activation in collaboration with the Communications Officer. Ensure content consistency with NLA branding guidelines.
Develop visual learning materials to support leadership training programs. Support digital storytelling for case studies, success stories, and impact narratives
Work with Program and M&E teams to visualize data and results. Maintain an organized digital library of photos, videos, and media assets.
Ensure proper labeling, storage, and backup of digital content. Coordinate with the Learning Systems & IT Officer on content integration into LMS and digital platforms.
Ensure compatibility and quality standards across systems.
Requirements
Proven experience in multimedia production, digital content creation, or graphic design.
Strong understanding of digital media, social media trends, and online content strategies.
Excellent creative, visual storytelling, and communication skills.
Ability to work in multicultural and fragile/post-conflict environments.
Strong collaboration and teamwork skills with the ability to work independently.
Fluency in English required; Somali fluency highly desirable.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Multimedia, Digital Media, Graphic Design, Communications, or related field.
